These Ngoni decorations are made from brass wire which is formed, twisted and tied into this 3D star shape. The effect is a bit like a shiny gold star shaped cobweb . . . but with two layers of cobweb joined together so that the effect is doubled. The star has 8 points and has a brass ring attached to one of the points with twine treaded through this ring to allow for the decoration to be hung.

The star is not particularly weighty but the size of it may preclude it from being a tree decoration. Instead it could be hung in a window or on a door, or stood on a mantelpiece.
